Hello!

So my significant other is currently in the process of converting to the Coptic Orthodox Church and we are planning to get engaged soon. I am stressed because his mom passed away when he was very young and then his dad ended up remarrying…a man. I don’t even know how to have this conversation with my parents or Abouna. Anyone go through something like this? Any advice or words of encouragement it’s appreciated.

    it is now 17 years since i joined the orthodox church (yay!) so i may have some useful tips.
