• Beautiful verses user00 - very edifying :)
• Please clarify what you mean. Language and grammar are definitely some of my weak points. Are you saying - Christ is risen = indirect statement, Christ has risen = direct statement ? If so, what is the significant difference?
• I am not sure - why do you think it would be? That might be more accurate because it was a past event. But this event was so powerful it transcends time. . . I guess it depends how one uses 'is risen.' If referring to the action it might be more p…
• Dear liftmyheart, Do not despair! Christ is risen and with His grace you will rise out of any sadness. So rejoice! The worst thing that can happen as a result of masturbation (or any sin) is to disconnect from the church and the sacraments. This …
• Christ is Risen from the dead! I hope you all enjoy this wonderful day!  :)
• Dear GODlovesme, You said that: You try to talk to her but she locks herself in her room; she refuses to communicate with you. She doesn't think she has a problem. You try to bring up God and she doesn't want to hear it. You are extremely busy w…
• Wow! This definitely sounds like someone who would be on the end of my list for room-mates. Although I wish I could offer advice from personal experience, I cannot. However, I have several friends who had bad room-mate experiences. Most end up opt…

• We have to ask ourselves: Why is it that we try to impress some 'nobody' who is going to interview us? How greatly does any human pale in comparison to God? With that in mind we should surely make the greatest effort to put on our best attire. If …

• Thanks for sharing Bishoy :)
• What priests/recordings have you listened to? In all honesty, some priests do not know the hymn well and just 'wing it.' So it might sound somewhat different. But then again, I am no expert on hymns so this is just my opinion.
• So what is the difference between bowing your head and a prostration? Also, like I have said before I have never seen it in any liturgy book instructing the people to prostrate. . .it is always written bow your head.
• I am saying that after the deacon says "worship God in fear..." the liturgy book instructs that the people "bow their head" it says nothing about prostrating. If by "bow the head" it means prostrate than it is also written in the prayer of submissio…

•
No it is after.
If you are referring to "Taske falas emon . . ." that is definitely before communion
• To my knowledge the deacons (in the sanctuary) never say any responses after the communion. And the congregation only prays Psalm 150 along with other communion melodies followed by the conclusion.
•
After communion there is a prayer the priest says called the "The Prayer of Submission to the Father". Before the priest says it, the deacon cries out: "Bow your heads befo…
• I am not sure that we say "bow your heads" after the communion (if you are referring to the deacons exchanging responses), that is before the communion. Even if it was after the communion, what is the difference between bowing and prostrating?
•
No they should not bow.
Makes sense but a part of me cannot help but bowing. It seems I have not fully realized the mystery of communion.

• While on the subject of metanias, I have been told that after receiving communion we should not prostrate. . .is that correct?
• The prayers of the saints help your spiritual life first and your schoolwork second :)
• We do NOT pray the agpeya during Pascha week. You are correct - the pascha prayers replace the hours of the agpeya. However, I am not sure why. . .
• Thank you, father. Although you were not suggesting that I was waiting for the right spiritual father to make me holy, I think I was. That is my problem, but I cannot help but feel that a FoC that does not only perform the sacrament but also gives…
