Sunday Before Lent & Feast of the Presentation in the Temple on the same day this year

This year, the last day before the great fast and the feast of the presentation in the temple are on the same day. Do we still switch to lent weekends hymns after the gospel or do we continue with the hymns of the feast? And if we do switch to lent hymns, would we say ti-galilea before je peniot or would we not say it at all?

  • I would obviously like to hear other people's opinions. I believe that the qatamaros will be the Lenten qatamaros and so there will be no place for the readings of the presentation of the Lord into the altar.. I may be wrong though..

  • CR has the readings as the Feast of Presentation
  • Yes @refernobi thank you - although I am not a big fan of Coptic reader but it appears that the minor Lordly feast trumps the Lenten reading of the first Sunday of Lent. I would have loved to have been attached to the church in my youth, I would have probably learnt what is correct and what is not strictly correct..
